Nestled on the vibrant Viale Guglielmo Marconi in Rome, Trattoria dell'Omo (Marconi) is a charming family-run Roman restaurant that embodies the heart and soul of traditional Italian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a warm, rustic atmosphere where simple yet lovingly prepared dishes transport you straight to the authentic flavors of Rome.
The menu at Trattoria dell'Omo is a celebration of classic Roman specialties made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Diners rave about the rich and velvety spaghetti alla carbonara, crafted the traditional Roman way with beaten egg—offering a silky texture that perfectly coats each strand of pasta. The roasted vegetables, despite their humble appearance, burst with natural earthy sweetness, while the sausage bruschetta delivers an incredible balance of smoky and savory notes. Fans of dessert are especially drawn to the homemade tiramisu, often described as the best they have ever tasted—light, creamy, and perfectly sweetened.
The dining experience is intimate and personal, deeply enhanced by the genuine hospitality of the family that runs the place. Customers frequently mention the friendly and attentive staff, especially noting a kind English-speaking waitress who goes out of her way to ensure guests feel at home. The setting is unpretentious but comforting, with rustic decor that adds to the authentic Roman trattoria charm.
Affordability is another standout feature. With traditional dishes priced between €6.50 to €8.50, and bottled water offered at just €2, Trattoria dell'Omo invites both locals and tourists to savor delicious meals without breaking the bank. This combination of quality, taste, and hospitality makes it a beloved spot for repeat visits—as one guest shared, they returned twice during a short three-day stay in Rome.
Whether you're seeking a genuine taste of Roman culinary tradition or a welcoming neighborhood spot where you feel part of the family, Trattoria dell'Omo (Marconi) delivers on all fronts. It’s a dining gem in Rome’s suburbs that promises memorable flavors, warm smiles, and authentic Italian charm.

As a foreign tourist, I absolutely loved this place! During my 3 day stay, I have been here 2 times for dinner with such amazing food and service! Only 1 waitress speaks English but she is so lovely and the shop is family run! The food is such good quality and is traditional Italian food! I recommend and I would 100% come back again every time I visit Rome!!! 5 stars!!!

[Migrating review from old account. Visited 2019] Delicious food! Excellent service! Decent price => 5*s! I had roasted vegetables (which is just spinach, unfortunately) and sausage bruscetta -- delicious! Then had spaghetti carbonara, which is done with a beaten egg (the Roman way!). See pictures! These were €6,50 and €8,50, respectively. 1ltr of water is only €2, which is decent.

Family owned restaurant in a suburb in Rome. Fronted by the owner, you will see an old woman chatting to customers. Many customers are local who are friendly with the owner, old woman and the chef. Many is simple, tasty, decor is rustic. Not expensive including water.
